Another great KP-SHA Labor Day Picnic! The weather was lovely, and lots of neighbors were there. We’ve certainly got some seriously cute children in this neighborhood!
This year we put the kids activities on the middle field, which worked well. The biggest change, however, was handling the menu with food trucks, and this was a big success. The trucks came from Dinner Bell Fresh, The Lunchbox, and Checkerboard Cheese, and the shaved ice was provided by LB&S New Orleans Style Snow Balls. Next year we may even need to add another truck just to handle the hungry crowd. Many thanks to Publix at University Commons for donating water and Chick Fil A in Bearden for donating tea. The great sound track for the picnic was supplied by musicians Scott Connatser and Michael Essex.
As always, KP-SHA board members and their families pitched in to set up tables and chairs, put out the drinks and cookies, and then cleaning up after it was all over. What a fun neighborhood!
